Just in case nobody has informed you of the current state of *fake recycling affairs in UK. We too only get our refuse collections every fortnight, if general waste is collected on week 1 / 3 then recycling is collected week 2 / 4 and so on. The green bin rules have changed too, only garden trimmings etc. no food waste is permitted and this bin comes with a premium of £52.50 a year plus £12.50 delivery if a new bin is required. Many of the same restrictions on glass, tetra-pak as you detailed from frogland for the bluebin. And since CONvid you have to prearrange an appointment to visit your local recycling centre (tip) to dispose of everything else. Wales, I know has even worse rules as they even have to sort out their plastic from paper/cardboard etc. into coloured bags/boxes.

At least this is the from my county of Suffolk.
