FOUR New WEBINARS | SEVEN dates released.
What to do with the U7s, GCSE PROBS and INTERMEDIATE
1. BEGINNERS
If you think you might need to home school in the very near future, say if the government mandated vaccines for schoolchildren, or if you are already home schooling but would like some advice from a professional teacher, then get yourself signed up for my LAST FREE beginners’ webinar of the year:

2. What to do with the U7s
Educating children under 7 is a political decision, not an educational one. Many European countries do not mandate education until 6 and 7 years of age. In Germany, children start school at 6 and in Finland and Sweden it is 7. However, in the UK education is compulsory from the age of 5.
The UK education system was designed in 1870 to get women back to work, not because it was beneficial to children to be sent to school from the age of 5! They don’t tell you that in GCSE history now, do they?
This is for those who would prefer to home educate children Under 7 years old or concerned parents who may have realised that their children are not yet ready for school, despite what the government tell you.

3. GCSE PROBS!
This is for anyone who has an interest in how to go about teaching the GCSE syllabus as well as preparing for and arranging GCSE examinations for their children now and in the future. I’m a GCSE Mathematics examiner for the UK’s leading exam board, so I will share the information I have regarding Summer 2022 exams and beyond.
We will also look at the purpose of GCSEs and what your options are, should you wish your son/daughter to pursue alternative educational goals in the 14-16-year groups.

These webinars are for anyone who has either previously been on one of my ‘BEGINNERS’ WEBINARS (including those who have only just signed up for a beginners’ webinar) or those who are already confident home educators.
We will be looking at:
Administration
Fitting it all in (parents who work and home school)
Dealing with the Local Authority
Academic subject support
Plumley online learning platform
Option 1: Tuesday 7th December @19:15
INTERMEDIATE WEBINAR SIGN-UP
Option 2: Sunday 12th December @ 15:15
INTERMEDIATE WEBINAR SIGN-UP
*You are able to attend the beginners’ webinar on Tuesday 16th November and at the same time sign-up for either of the INTERMEDIATE webinars above.
**There is no need to re-attend a beginners’ webinar unless you wish to.
You can take as many or as few webinars as you like, though I do recommend attending the BEGINNERS’ one before attempting INTERMEDIATE. As a mathematics teacher, you might want to listen to me on that!
Write (cursive) WEDESDAY
Learn how to write beautifully and teach it to your children.
More than looking elegant, I think cursive is about to become a highly valued skill as more and more people realise the 'digital trap' that has separated us from our natural, creative selves. There are fewer and fewer people with legible handwriting since the invention of the computer keyboard and I think humanity is weaker for it.
