Parent-Teacher Training EPISODE #8
VIDEO: Letter writing
Letter writing is a great way to get your children practise their writing skills without it seeming like a chore.
Letters can be written:
to Father Christmas
to their best friend
to a relative
to a pen pal (see Pen Pal REVIVAL)
The most important part is to make sure you have all of the traditional resources; the writing paper, envelopes, ink pen etc. Doing it properly makes an occasion of it and elevates it from ‘any other English writing lesson.’
The subject is ENGLISH and the focus is how to teach:
LETTER WRITING.
The AIM is to show you how to get your children to do extra writing without having a battle on your hands.
TEACHING AGE RANGE: 7-16 years.
Education not indoctrination
