Ep. 117 || The Plumley Pod || 85 Questions
If your child is already a teenager, then it is very probably already too late in the day to reclaim them.
Fired by a 13-year-old
Have you ever been fired from your job by a child?
I have.
This very special kind of indignity is reserved seemingly only
for those in the teaching and coaching professions.
It's a modern parenting disease - allowing a child to dictate events
without ever even asking the advice of said esteemed professional
coach/teacher.
Parents that act as their child's PA, aren't parents at all.
One of the first rules of learning is that we cannot possibly know
that which we do not know.
Therefore, how can a child possibly know what he or she needs to
learn next?!
Beats me!
For the full and gory details of my latest ignominy,
which I sincerely hope will spark healthy debate in your household,
check out my latest podcast and listen for a real twist in the tail/tale!
Whatever you do, do not let your children become unteachable.
Education, not indoctrination.
