3 D's: Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dyspraxia
There is an unholy amount of absolute codswallop talked in educational circles regarding the 3D’s.
The best advice I was given as a classroom mathematics teacher is summed up in the above video.
Practical advice that you can implement now
In the video I’ve shared my TOP 3 tips to assist those students who struggle with one or all of the 3D’s, and the advice given will improve things for all students - regardless of SEN statement or no - in better understanding and experiencing success in mathematics.
Bottom line
Be careful with how you write certain numbers and don’t take any messing. At the end of the day, I notice that in all my years of teaching I’ve never had a complaint that a student cannot read the words on a computer game screen!
I find that astonishing!
